30 Apr Style and Security: Our Patio Door Hardware Options
In addition to being the most beautiful, reliable and energy-efficient patio doors, Renewal by Andersen® patio doors are also the most secure, thanks to our patio door hardware options. Let us give you a closer look at our patio door security hardware.
Safety and Security
Our patio doors come with Andersen-designed door locking systems that feature easy operation and an airtight fit. Our hinged French doors feature a unique five-point locking system that has five bolts distributed along the door’s entire height. But instead of having five separate strike plates, you control all five latches with a single cylinder, ensuring a strong and balanced seal from the top to the bottom.
Our contemporary sliding doors are likewise secure, with a unique reach-out locking system that pulls the sash into the jamb. Not only does this make it impossible to open from the outside, but it also makes your home more energy-efficient. You can also choose to have an auxiliary foot lock, which works like a built-in doorstop. It’s especially useful when you need to let some fresh air in but would rather not open the door all the way. Both patio door styles are available with optional keyed locks.
Stylish Hardware Finishes
Your patio door does not have to look like a bank vault just to be secure. Our hardware finishes let you secure your patio doors without sacrificing style. All of our hardware options are chosen to complement whatever patio door style and color you choose, including your choice of different interior and exterior finishes.
We offer 12 different colors and finishes, including classic white and stone, as well as several metallic finishes. Our bronze finish even grows a natural green patina, that makes it even more beautiful over time – which you will enjoy to the fullest, thanks to the 10-year warranty coverage that is part of our Transferable Limited Warranty.
